The Review Conference of the International Criminal Court in Kampala and the subsequent Assembly of States Parties in New York can be considered as guiding and trendsetting regarding International Criminal Law. In Kampala the States Parties to the ICC agreed on a definition of the crime of aggression and the conditions under which the Court can exercise jurisdiction with respect to the crime.
